Colonial Knot tutorial for Needlepoint

The Colonial Knot, or figure-eight knot, is similar to a french knot, but because you do one extra wrap, the result on your cavas is more full and has added texture.  We love to use Colonial Knots as effective tools for adding textural depth to your needlepoint creations. Whether used sparingly to accentuate specific elements or clustered together to form intricate patterns, their subtle elevation from the canvas creates a tactile richness that invites closer inspection and admiration.
