Lottery FAQ
Q. How do I sign up for the lottery?
A. Click the link above to fill out our Google form between now and August 25th at midnight EST.
Q. How are winners selected?
A. Melissa and Liz use a random number generator to select winners. Each application is given a number, then we spin to select 66 winners.
Q. How do I apply with a group?
A. Groups are limited to 4 or less. Each individual group member must fill out our Google form to enter. When filling out the form, please list the other members of your group when asked. Make sure all members of your group list identical members. If one of your members is selected, then your entire group (up to 4 people) will be invited to attend.
Q. Do I have a better chance of winning the lottery if I am a part of a group?
A. No. Each group is counted as one entry. In 2024, 60% of winners entered as individuals. Friday:
The shop will be ready to welcome shoppers and visitors starting at 10am on Friday. Due to space constraints, there will not be availability in the shop on Friday for stitching.
Friday Night:
Welcome Party at the shop from 5:30-7:30PM.

Features Detroit-style dinner & refreshments outside in the back lot of the shop. This is a great kick off to the weekend: a chance to meet all of your new stitching friends and do a little shopping!

EVENT FAQ
Q. What time should I arrive on Friday?A. Events don’t kick off officially until Friday at 5:30pm, but if you find yourself in the area earlier, feel free to stop by the shop starting at 10am. Please note, due to space constraints, there will not be availability in the shop on Friday for stitching.
Q. Do I need a car?
A. There will be a shuttle to take everyone to and from the shop on Saturday and Sunday. The plan is for the Shuttle to leave the venue on the quarter hour (11:15AM, 11:45AM etc.) and leave from the shop on the hour and half hour (i.e. 11:00AM, 11:30AM etc.). If you have your own car, you are more than welcome to go to and from the shop at your leisure. The shuttle holds up to 13 people. Ubers are also available in our area.
Q. Can I connect with other attendees ahead of the event?
A. Yes! We will be setting up a Facebook group where we will share important information and attendees can connect about any logistics, etc.
Q. What should I bring?
A. Please bring: Any projects you want to work on or need help kitting. The lighting in the venue is good, but if you require extra lighting for stitching - please bring any lighting you have WITHOUT cords. For everyone's safety, we can not accommodate corded lights. We will have cord free lighting available for purchase at the venue. Please bring a covered cup for drinking beverages. We wouldn’t want anything to spill on anyone’s stitching! Most of all…bring your willingness to meet new people and have FUN!
