Beginning in 1976, Camp ASCCA (Alabama's Special Camp for Children & Adults) has been a nationally recognized leader in therapeutic recreation for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. People travel far and wide to have the chance to be able to attend. Such an amazing place which allows special needs children & adults can have a typical camp experience.

Camp ASCCA is open year-round. Camp ASCCA offers 230 wooded acres on the shores of beautiful Lake Martin in Alabama. Weeklong summer sessions for children and adults with disabilities ages 6+ are held June-August each summer. Camp offers a variety of family and individual camps throughout the fall-spring seasons. This Camp allows special needs children and adults to have a typical camp experience. New families and campers can attend the annual Rookie Weekend held in April. Individual campers and/or family members can participate in the spring (March), fall (October), & Christmas (December) camps. Camp ASCCA provides swimming, canoeing, fishing, ziplines, concerts, arts & crafts, animal education, tubing, sports & games, mini-golf, a waterslide, archery, a splash pad, music, and more!
