Join us for a two day finishing workshop at The Wool & The Floss. On Friday, June 19, participants will be learning about finishing round ornaments. Then Saturday, June 20, will focus on squares. Both sessions are 3 hours.
Details:
We’ll be using a no-glue lacing technique and only acid-free materials, ensuring your needlepoint can be enjoyed for years to come. You’ll leave the workshop with a beautifully finished ornament and the confidence and materials needed to try it again on your own – plus access to online videos and resources to help you continue your learning journey. No previous finishing experience is necessary.
Participants should bring:
- Round classes (Friday, June 19): A completed round canvas, blocked
- Rectangle/Square (Saturday, June 20): A completed canvas, blocked
Optional to bring:
- Bring desired backing fabric, measured 1 inch wider on all sides (6x6 for 4x4). Recommend a not stretchy material. Thin materials like quilter's cotton, velveteen, or silk work great. Materials kit includes black, white, red, and navy.
- Two skeins of DMC Floss or DMC Pearle (only if the attendee has a color preference, materials kit includes black, white, red, and navy floss)
- If the attendee doesn’t want to finish their own canvas, they can bring blank 18 mesh canvas.

She’s committed to helping needlepointers discover the magic of needlepoint finishing through her online tutorials on The Needlepoint Finishing Club and in-person workshops. Canvas + threads Details
When you purchase a canvas from us, you have the option to purchase without threads (canvas only) or to add threads.
If you want us to kit a canvas for you, select your options above to give us an idea of what you need and your style. If you want to leave any additional notes for us, please be sure to do so.
You will be invoiced separately for threads once your project is ready to ship. Pulling threads may delay the shipment of your order.
Know that we take pride in our thread pulls and that we kit each canvas as if we were going to stitch it.
Returns
